Mute / Unmute sound

Is there a way to mute sound on my computer inmediatly beforeI use the command docmd.Quit
and also when loading my start up form I would like to unMute sound again

Try
DoCmd.SetWarnings False

and then turn it on with

DoCmd.SetWarnings True

I can't remember right now why it was that I once used VBA for mute/unmute/volume and found it undesirable...maybe something about the NumLock key or other weird side effects - but anyway, I just want to say I've also had good results with this
