i want to make report such as below :

Employee Name : Aaaa
Employee Number : 007
Basic Salary : 2.000
Transport : 100
OverTime : 750
CashBon : 100

Total : 2.950

Not all employee has OverTime and CashBOn.
so, i want for that employee in his/her report, overTime and
Cashbon not show up.

what should i do ?

regards
melinda

I'm assuming that the total is calculated either in the report or in the query populating the report.

If not, make sure that the total is calculated in the query (as you should not store this value in a table) then it will avoid problems if you calculate it on the report.

For the textboxes that hold the values, set the Can Shrink property to yes. Therefore, if the control is null, it will be hidden on the report - make sure you make the 'Can Shrink' property of the detail section 'yes' as well

Default Value for CashBon And Overtime is 0 (zero) not null.

it can shrink too ?

can u send a sample for me ?
cos' i tried to did what u told me. but it didn't work.
i don't know why ?

best regards

The control will only shrink if the value stored in it is null. It will not shrink if the value is 0.
To hide the controls now, you will have to use a bit code on the Format event of the detail section to check for zero values and then hide the controls with a zero value. I'll see if I can knock something up.
