Need Month Name based on Date in a Table

Storing redundant data is madness and shows a lack of understanding of database principles
this arrogant post deserves a response from someone who has experience actually HELPING people.

in all reality little Richie, a good database expert knows when to "JUST HELP" and also knows when to say "REDO YOU STRUCTURE". nobody's perfect bro, and chances are....the majority of people out there that are trying to make it in this world don't know the first thing about good database design. but quite frankly, they probably don't have the time to figure it out, nor do they much less care. if you're trying to run a business and get things done on your own, would you have much time to create a well-defined db structure? and if so, is that going to make you more money? i think not....

i also think that your arrogant posts really show a lack of understanding of how people operate in this world. if you want to live in the world of perfect db design, stay in it yourself. it doesn't exist in reality... thanks!

There are some here who if they see someone about to commit suicide would do their best to try and talk them out of it, there are others of course who to simply get their name in the spotlight would not only hand over the bullets but load the gun for them:rolleyes:

Great response!

Thanks for the help, I will test this code out

Adam, in fact Rich was correct. There is no need to store both the date and the Month Name in the same record as the Month Name can be easily found in any query using that record. Bob Larson said exactly the same thing in his post in this thread. If you think you know more about Access than Bob then you are seriously deluded.
