Does anyone know where to download Access ODBC for Oracle?
For those using SQL Server back-end, see my thread on the SQL Server posts on this site.
Access ODBC:
New computer. Needed the Microsoft ODBC for Oracle
Installed the Oracle 11g 32bit client package (from Oracle).
Could not connect, while the exact same Access linked table on a GIS workstation (he has full Oracle tools on that workstation) did connect.
GIS (working) ODBC 6.01.7661.17514 11/20/2010
Mine(logs in, but can't expand catalog) ODBC 6.01.7600.16385 7/13/2009
Mine again was installed from the Oracle website 11g download.
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/visual-studio/downloads/index.html
I think this may be the ODBC download needed. Oracle requires an account set up to download it.
Any ideas where a good Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle can be found?
This error occurs while linking to an old Oracle ver 7 db.
I have run the Oracle Uninstaller. Run the newer Oracle 9i client installer. But, the ODBC version and date won't change!
