This problem stems from me trying to make a database with sharing capabilites. As of now two people can not open the same form at the same time. I know this is because both users are opening the database in exclusive mode because this is an default permision for admins. I used the user level security wizard. to secure the database so i could share it on a local network. When the wizard finishes it creates the DB.bak file the Secured file and the DB.mdb shortcut file. I can open the database with the shortcut file and it prompt me for password and so forth. If i go to the computer beside me and try to open the shortcut file it says Microsoft can't find file path. From the other computer if you open the regular database file it does not prompt for a password and it opens and runs. This is extremely confusing and any help is appreciated. Thanks Chris
