After updating to version 2602 (build 19725.20058) sql view of all queries in all databases shows a blank screen.
Turning off Monaco, I can see the sql.
Chatgpt's telling me it's a known bug, but I couldn't find any info about it here.

Just wanted a confirmation before going back to previous version.
Thanks.

I have exactly the same CCP version & build on this (slow) machine. I can still see query SQL in Monaco but its slow to appear as that channel doesn't currently have speedy loading. For the first 3 seconds I see an empty grey box.

Its much faster (almost instantaneous) to load in beta channel

Is this a bug or not? Because I still can't see the sql, no matter how long I wait.
thanks.

I’ve not heard any other reports of this and cannot replicate it myself. So it may just be something on your machine?
Try rolling back to a previous build or changing to a different channel.

EDIT
One other thing. Ask ChatGPT for specific links to backup its comment about being a known bug. Also ask which version / build it claims is affected.

Claude reports no such official confirmation from Microsoft. I suspect Chatty of conflating the known delay problem with your reported problem of never loading at all.

Here's the full prompt and response:

I am seeing a report that the SQL Monaco editor in Access is not working correctly in version 2602 (build 19725.20058). Specifically, sql view of all queries in all databases shows a blank screen.

Can you confirm this? Can you provide a link to an official confirmation FROM Microsoft?

Verifying bug existence and locating official Microsoft documentation

I'll search for information about this specific Access issue with the SQL Monaco editor in that build.

Investigated Monaco editor issue but found no official Microsoft confirmation

Based on my search, I found information about Monaco SQL Editor issues in Access, but I did not find an official Microsoft confirmation specifically about version 2602 (build 19725.20058) having this blank screen issue.

Here's what I found:

What I Can Confirm:

  1. The blank screen issue is a known problem with Monaco SQL Editor - Multiple users have reported that the Monaco SQL Editor shows a blank window for 2-3 seconds (or longer) when loading SQL view. This is due to how it integrates with the Edge browser control Access WorldAccess World.
  2. Your specific build is listed in Microsoft's official release notes, but only with the generic note "Various fixes to functionality and performance" Microsoft Learn - no specific mention of Access or Monaco issues.

Relevant Resources:

Workaround:

If you're experiencing the blank screen issue, you can disable Monaco SQL Editor by:

  • Going to File > Options > Current Database
  • Unchecking "Enable Monaco SQL Editor"
  • Or using VBA: Application.SetOption "Option to enable Monaco SQL Editor", False
I did not find an official Microsoft acknowledgment specifically linking your build number to this issue. You may want to report this through the Microsoft Feedback Portal if you're experiencing persistent problems.

Went back to 2508 and it seems I have no problem with this version.
Thanks for your time.

I wouldn’t know 😀
And the answer to both of your other two questions (since deleted) is a definite No!
Chatgpt told me when you ask those kinds of questions, in some cultures it might be seen as mocking. In our culture, though, it’s actually one of the best ways to praise someone. That’s why I deleted them. I’ve already caused enough misunderstandings here and didn’t want to add to them.
