I’m sorry to see this place so deserted. I would like to see a little of the old times, even if they did include stupid arguments, oh wait, that’s why it’s abandon.

I quit my job at DHS, no more Government for me. Clear Lake Data Systems is the name of my new company.
Free to fail, free to succeed.

Congratulations! That's awesome!

Your company or your employer?

Gratz either way

Congratulations and Good Luck

Definitely good luck - as for forums I noticed a few of my forums have died down a bit.

Its the nature of the beast I think and not necessary indicative of this one place.

I think its a bit like being at University. You join up to everything in time and then actuall never go along to things. I'm happy with my two windsurfing forums and this access forum.

Congrats on taking the decision to be the master of your own destiny.

I think everything quiets down at this time of year - summer in the northern hemisphere is waning and schools are filling with students starting new semesters. Sort of a lull in the routines.

Should be a rush of people wanting help with their class assignments soon then:D

I had a windsurfer in 1979.

Thanks Guys,

It's a little scary, but being a cubicle grunt is no life for me. At DHS I connected 50,000 people together, and so what.

The exhilaration of living and dying by a sword is always more interesting.

I'm still here - just busy - new job as well

on a side note -

for the Brits and The Yanks mainly
if you could support this ..
(I am not one for promoting one charity over another but )

I've been thinking more and more about starting something of my own, being my own boss, etc. I don't think I'm destined to live in this cube hell we have going on right now either. But...if I started my own I'm not sure I would even want to do IT stuff. I may enjoy something else more...

It does seem scary though to branch out on your own. High risk, high reward I suppose. :)

Congrats to you.

Thanks all, the reward may not come as finacial, sometimesfreedom is hard to put a price on.
