Why have I registered:
Well I work in a small company in UK (18 people), we make and distribute machinery saftey systems (Infra red light curtains) world wide.
Part of my job as final test/quality control, is printing technical labels out, now up till 6 months ago, this was done via VB program licked to a database.
Well the program which was designed by an ex employee, was not good and as no one in the company could program with VB this was not good.
So now the boss has decided to go with MS Access, the program is running. However their is the fine tuning needed, i should know I use it as i keep telling the boss !!!!!!!
Now knowing my boss he has probably got this done very cheaply, so amendments ae going to be very sluggish in comming.
I have done a very little VB programming, (definitely not to the exstent of editing a program mentioned earlier). When I stated looking into Access I was delighted that it could be programmed with VB, plus the design environment is similar.
I cant ask the company to pay for a course, so I'm on my todd learning.
I do have access on my lap top, so here we go .............
