Hi. I'm an older programmer. Have done COBOL and then RPG for years, most recently on an AS400. Now all that is going away and I have become interested in learning VB in Access. I'm really at a loss though because I just basically don't even know where to start. So, I'm doing a lot of "goggling" various topics and I found my way here.
When I'm not at a computer, I'm a professional musician. Play violin in a couple of professional symphonies and also teach both privately and in the schools.
I also have 6 kids, 10 grandkids, and my very first GREAT-grandson is almost 3 weeks old now.
I'm on the west coast, in the Big Bear valley, at 7,000 feet and about 60 miles east of L.A.
