New Record when opening a subform (1 Viewer)

When my subform opens, it's matched to an ID field so that the information maps relationally. However, when the subform opens, it opens to the first data set (ordered by the query).

Is there a setting I'm missing to have the subform find the data via the query and match on the ID (populating the "previous data list box" which is all setup) but instead of displaying the dataset, displays a empty and new record. This way they are ready for data entry but can select the old data from the previous list box already setup.

In your subform properties change the Default view to "Continuous Form"

That should do the trick.
