Hi everyone. I used MS Access about 12 years ago at work in association with my real career as an System 38 and AS/400 or iSeries System Administrator and Programmer. I have been programming on the AS/400 and subsequent iSeries platform for just under 40 years. Sounds hard for me to believe as well but I started on an old HP 16 bit 5 user system programming in HP Basic. As I launched my first IBM System 38 in January of 1981 I have been a CL and RPG programer since. I did the MS Access and Crystal Reports functions as a "side venture" and never truly felt myself to be a hardened professional at either Access or Crystal Reports but I made the required functions work as the business demanded. With regard to Access, since then, I have created 5 or 6 personal databases and would consider myself a very experienced programmer outside the fact that I am a little light in the shoes for Access, especially the proper coding practices for use of VBA. I can help most anyone on good solid database design criteria though and would offer my help to others as I ask for it in VBA when I get to the proper place to post that. I have very solid experience in AS/400 and iSeries if anyone needs help in those areas.
