I have been studying Access [2000] for some time and have the general concept down but I have not yet got my head around the whole Query and relationships part. I can follow examples and understand but when I try to implement them in my own example it is clear I am missing the point. I used the book Access 2000 for Dummies and the course by Video Professor, both are good but each track one example and do not seem to give all the variables of what they are doing and why.

Are there any other courses/books out there I can get hold of? I could ask for help on my particular scenario [not that complicated] but that may not help me in the long run. The wizzards do not quite help what I am doing.

You might try taking a look at Microsoft Access 2003 Inside Out. Its not a bad book at all. Its a lot of reading, but if you already have a good understanding of certain areas of Access you can use it to pin point specific problems like queries.. or reports for example.

relationships and queries

I have ordered Access in and out.

In the mean time, I need two lists. One will be my jobs and the others my regular customers. I would like to make it so when I type in the customer’s name, it wills out the rest of the fields [address, phone etc]. Can someone explain in a bullet list the process?

I'd suggest that you take a look at some of the submissions in the Sample
Database forum here. There are lots of examples on a wide variety of
things.
