Newbie needs help with NHL scores

I'm somewhat of a newbie with visual basic and access, and just landed a job creating and using data entry programs. I'm currently in the midst of trying to create a database program that will help me keep track of NHL scores and automatically calulate standings. I've created a table and inputed the entire NHL schedule with the accompanying scores up-to-date. The schedule is exhaustive as it is the schedule for the entire National Hocke League. My bind is in trying to create a query/report that will search the entire list extract the games of one specific team (both their home and away games) and then list them, afterwards the report is to calculate statistics for all home games, away games, all games overall, and the last 10 games played.

Is there anyone who can lend me some ideas about how to go about this?
