A third party exe program which seems to have been created using VB or the likes, uses an Access MDB as a backend. When opened using WIN XP (on a PC with Access 2003) the form displays what seems to be a subform consisting of a grid which contains data and is populated by the backend MDB.
However when run on another PC with an OS of MS vista (& Access 2007), the performance differs greatly. First of all error messages shown on loading complained of missing OCX files. When these were succesfully downloaded and registered, the program opened and found the backend. This is evidenced by the fact that total number of records are shown, export to CSV works fine and even a printout of a hard copy shows the records. However the area which should display the data as a grid on the form is blank with not even the correct number of columns.
Is there any OCX which could remedy this?
Is this a vista problem or related to Access 2007? (MDB opens fine in Access 2007)
I would be grateful if anyone could point in the direction of a possible solution!
Thanks
