We have a database that is shared on the network. When user-A opens the database, it locks user-B out, but if user-B opens the database first, user-A can open it at the same time. I've been investigating this and it looks like the .ldb file isn't being created for user-A, or is being created in a different directory than the database is in. Fairly sure this is the problem, but I don't know why this would happen...both users are using the same shortcut to the database which includes a /wrkgrp .mdw extention. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Doh.

Nevermind, I worked it out as soon as I posted the question. Just checked and user-A doesn't have write access to the directory the database is in. Obvious!
