My apologies for such terrible grammer. I have several subreports (that are nothing more than memo fields coming from various tables. I don't want the label and empty box to appear when there is no data. I am a noobie, and would appreciate any help.

you could make the label invisible or delete the lable. or does the label sometimes have data in it? and you only want to to be visible when data is present?

DJ thanks for your reply. Let me try and illustrate better:

Main Report (with several fields)
Subreport (with one label followed my a memo box pulled from another table)
Subreport (with one label followed my a memo box pulled from another table)
Subreport (with one label followed my a memo box pulled from another table)

What I want is when there is no data in the memo box, for it not to display and the other subreports move up on the main report.

I feel as though I just got directions to know where!

Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)
Me.Mysubreport.Visible = Me.Mysubreport.Report.HasData
