I have a form with a subform, with the proper one to many relationship with their respective tables. Everything looks good in design view and in the properties window... but in form view, the subform doesn't display anything, not even the empty text boxes in the details section (new record). ?? Am I forgetting something?

Have you created the appropritate Parent/Child relationship between the Main form and the sub form?

yes, the link master and link child fields are set...

Perhaps you should describe or post your tables and exactly what you are trying to achieve.

Best guess would be that the Subform, for whatever reason, doesn't allow for Records being added. A Form that cannot be updated, when it has no Records, will not display anything, not even empty Textboxes!

missinglinq is spot on there. If you want to display empty boxes you will need to create a second unbound form that you will make Visible when there's no related record in the first subform. But obviously this means you won't be able to manipulate records unless you use code.

So your best bet is to make your subform's recordset non read-only.
