number sequence

Hi! I have an ID field that is user determined, and is a number. When the field is sorted, the numbers come up like this

100
110
1150
1160
120
1300
1310
140

etc.

How can I get them to display in true numerical order?

Are you sure the Data type in the Table is set to Number not Text?
