I am trying to enter ".5" in a feild that I have set to long integer. But when I type it in, the value goes to "0". What am I doing wrong? I have done a few things to try and get the number after the decimal to show but nothing seems to work.

If you look at the definition of a long integer field, you'll see that it is intended to store an integer, hence the name. You'll want a different type, either currency, decimal, single, double, etc.
