numeric formatting changes not taking

Should be real simple.

I've got 6 text boxes in a report. All I'm trying to do is select 1 or all of them, go to properties, and change the format to fixed or currency (or actually anything other than what it is) with 0 decimal places. The changes appear to be in place but when I run the report, I still get the old formatting with about 10 decimal places.

Any ideas??

I have had problems with conflicts between formatting in the query and formatting in the report. I don't understand why this should matter, but I have had success by ensuring that I keep all my formatting in forms and reports, but leave tables and queries unformatted.

My more experienced colleagues may have a better answer.
