Hi,

Just recently set up a database for multiple simultaneous users and I'm having trouble with a few bugs. I would like to be able to obtain user information from the "Microsoft Access Record-Locking Information" file so that I can ask those users to quit the program while I make design changes. Does anybody know how to do so, or even get around needing to do this?

Thanks,

Joshua

If you search this forum you will find some old posts that will allow to extract our the data from a .ldb file. The quick and dirty way is to open the .ldb file with Notepad.exe.

Any version of Access after Access 97 will not allow you to edit a form while it is already opened by another user. All users must exit the db while you make any changes to the db in a mulit-user environment.

I just finished copying a code into this form. It works like a charm to log off users
