I'm trying to understand how to read/set an ODBC connection string from MS Access. Could anyone help explain the parameters that are used when establishing a connection?

Here are the parameters:

'ODBC = connection type
'DSN = data source name
'DBQ = database name
'APA =
'QTO =
'FRC =
'FDL =
'LOB =
'RST =
'BTN =
'BNF =
'BAM =
'NUM =
'DPM =
'MTS =
'MDI =
'CSR =
'FWC =
'FBS =
'TLO =
'MDL =
'ODA =

Thanks!

What sort of server are you trying to connect to? Even Access alone has two ODBC drivers: JET and ACE. Some specifics might assist in you receiving an answer. ;)

I'm trying to figure out how to create an ADO recordset object to run in MS Access 2000 on Windows XP SP2 desktops based upon a pass-through query to Oracle 11g v2.

You are welcome, tranchemontaigne.
