I'm trying to understand how to read/set an ODBC connection string from MS Access. Could anyone help explain the parameters that are used when establishing a connection?

Here are the parameters:

What sort of server are you trying to connect to? Even Access alone has two ODBC drivers: JET and ACE. Some specifics might assist in you receiving an answer.

I'm trying to figure out how to create an ADO recordset object to run in MS Access 2000 on Windows XP SP2 desktops based upon a pass-through query to Oracle 11g v2.
