Reports are that in the "liberated" (thanks to the Arab Spring pushed by Clinton and the Obama administration) Libya, now that Ghaddafi is gone, there are open slave markets in the cities and guess who the slaves are? Just one more regime change operation that failed. Will we ever learn?

It appears Europe and Russia want to control Ukraine. My guess is Russia will win. Nothing has changed from Alaska with Putin and the Trump and Europe so called summit. Europe and Britain cleared off home waffling on about how they will manage Ukraine.

Greta Thumbrain needs to shut up and clear off back to Sweden and stay there. Maybe give her a job making Volvos, as a singer in a band, or emptying rubbish bins? Something that would be more useful than the timewasting, posturing and buggering about that she involves herself in now. People like her spend all their time telling everybody else what they should be doing but are themselves incapable of doing anything.
Neither do they have any solutions, only complaints. Simply a pointless distraction for everyone.

As a corollary to the graphic below. Why aren't those supporting Gaza, not protesting the Russian invasion of the Ukraine? The fact that they are supporting the Palestinians but not the Ukrainians demonstrates that this is really about antisemitism. Not about peace or the environment. Where is the humanitarian aid for the Ukraine and the Sudan?

I would guess it is because the vast majority of the world is already supporting Ukraine so there's really no need to protest about it. In contrast, there is a need to protest against Israel's behavior because much of the world is supporting what they've done

Having said there, I agree with you in the portion of what you're saying about the Sudan. It's too bad that people in general aren't up in arms about the things that happen on the African continent that are deplorable. It seems to me that with MINIMAL effort we could intervene and help a lot of people too. A lot of the " bad guys" over there have nothing but machetes.

@Isaac: Israels behavior has been super restrained by historical standards. They have been allowing a degree of humanitarian aid to flow to the people who intend to kill them! Who feeds the enemy???? That is ridiculous. Those fighting Germany and Japan in WWII indiscriminately killed thousands, there were (to my knowledge) no offers to provide humanitarian aid to the suffering Germans and the Japanese. The Palestinians continue to hold hostages, which is very unhumanitarian and I suspect a violation of international law. You also have to ask why the other Middle East Countries won't accept all the residents of Gaza as refugees into their countries so that this conflict can end. It appears that the Palestinians are not interested in ending the conflict. (Don't forget that they started the conflict.)

Consider that the new Syrian government recently killed a number of Druze as another example of ethnic cleansing. The Jews (by extension) are not safe. Don't forget the endless antisemitic genocidal hatred chant of "From the River to the Sea Palestine will be free". Therefore Israel should not be condemned for aggressively protecting itself.

Definitely. Unfortunately mentally ill individuals have been harassing people since 1980s. They refuse to take medications, then their lawyers argue that because they are ill, they should get a free pass.

The "humanitarian" closing of mental hospitals caused the problems we are seeing today. All those people thrown out of their safe hospitals ended up on the street. Where else could they go? They were incapable of holding down jobs and taking care of themselves. They couldn't even reliably take their meds. Only the people who were dangerous to themselves or others were in locked wards. The rest were free to roam the grounds and even take the bus into town.

They should not even be armed but I guess they have to protect themselves. The problem is that if the aid organizations simply drop off the aid, Hamas steals it all and then sells it to the citizens. You do know that don't you? That means that the aid has to be controlled as it is distributed. Are you sure that the aid people are shooting civilians and not Hamas? You are always quick to criticize Israel and America. What would you have them do? Just drop off the goods for Hamas to steal?

Yes, they've done several in depth reporting where it's been verified that the guards of this organization are trigger happy and tend to fire directly into the crowd to perform crowd control, or just because they enjoy it (you know the type)

I'm not condoning their trigger happy "solution". The people who can't control themselves should be prosecuted for murder or at least assault. But what are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to abandon the goods and let the mob fight over them? You are very quick to criticize but have no solutions because Hamas is the cause of this situation when you get right down to it. If they didn't steal the aid given to their citizens, the citizens would not be starving. If they didn't break all peace treaties as soon as they have rearmed there might be a chance for peace. But Israel who is under constant attack against their civilian population is still trying to feed the "innocents". What other country in the world has tried to feed the citizens of the country that is perpetually attacking them?????????????????????? HAMAS is the bad guy. Period. Open your eyes. Until Hamas is destroyed, there will be no peace.

The Palestinians have had their two-state solution ---- TWICE --- and yet here we are. WHY? Read some history and stop reading the NYT.

There is a word that will make Arab speakers stop in their tracts if said in the right tone of voice (think their mother's). That word is ---- HALAS!!! And that is what the world should be saying to the Palestinians. HALAS. We've had enough of this bulls*** and outright murder. I know the effect it has because I said it to some street urchins who refused to stop bothering my husband. It was like the world came to a standstill. Everyone around us, not just the urchins, stopped dead. Of course the effect could have been because the word came out of my mouth and was so unexpected it shocked everyone into submission. Hey, if America says HALAS, maybe they'll stop
