On closing picture on form hangs

Hi Folks,

Can anyone help please?

I have two bound objects that I insert pictures from network. Then when I double click to open and view.. they do no probs.. but when I close the second one - the form locks and the only way I can get out is to close form and then go back in again... Any ideas please? :banghead:

you might have something in your code like a message box (perhaps hidden by another form or application) which is waiting for an answer.

Suggest you post the code to each of the image or bound controls

Hi,
when you insert the photos.. they are okay.. it is only when you open the photo... you can view the photo but when you close photo (MS photo viewer), access form then hangs ...
You then have to close the form...

Error message you get is:

You cant save this record at this time.. MS Access has encountered an error whilst trying to save a record. if you close the object now, data changes may be lost .. etc.

I have no code .. just control source linked to picture2
(I basically just want to link and view the photos) .. and if possible without hanging..

not sure I can help with this, I don't use bound objects due to the bloat they cause (admittedly improved in 2007, but by then I was set in my ways!)

If it is just images you are looking at, you would be better to use the image control and store in your table the path to the file (in a text field), then in your form set the controlsource to the image control to the appropriate field in your table
