one textbox value store into two table field

I have a voucher form contains voucher_type,customer_name,Amount. I select a DR or CR in a combobox, If DR then customer code store into tab_field1 or customercode store into tab_field2. I get customercode from customer_name combobox. How will assign customer_name control source? If controlsouce is unbound, before selected name also change. How will I do it?

Voucher Table contains vch_type, CR_customercode,DR_customercode,Amount. Voucher form contains vch_type,customercode,Amount. I select vch_type='DR' then customercode save into DR_customercode else customercode save into CR_customercode. How will do customercode controlsource?

I would not have two different fields. I would just have a single field for customer code. Store a separate field for voucher type (Dr or Cr) - then its easy to filter out the just the Drs or the Crs.

you dont (shouldnt) need to store the customer name with this record. just the code - then get the name using the code either by a lookup, or by constructing a query as appropriate.


What sort of transaction is this for?
