Does anyone know how to 'bypass' the built-in dialog box, that opens when double-clicking an Attachment control. It lists all of the attached files, and you confrim you wish to open the one highlighted. I would like to use the 'Double_Click' event, to open my files immediately  ??

I thought I read somewhere that such a thing is possible, but it requires a registry entry. Afraid I don't recall the specific, but Google probably knows.

I've wanted to do this before too, but I've never figured it out. Put a message box in the double click event and see if it opens before the dialog. I'm guessing it wont. Even if it does, how do you cancel the dialog?

edit- An alternative would be to store the document in a standard location, and simply shell that location. For instance, you can store the path in the backend, you would then take that path and append the name of the fill to it, and shell that location.
