Opening a popup form displaing data

When I click on a field (control) it opens a popup form with a txtbox that
has a value. This value matches the value of the field that was clicked on. My
question is Can I make it so that the txtbox value matches that field but drops the 1st 3 charactors or deletes them regaredless of what there values are?

You could use the Mid() function to grab from the 4th character on.

What procedure are you using to load the pop-up form?

I just use this

DoCmd.OpenForm "Frm-initals"

In the onload of this form I have this

Me.txt1 = Forms![Frm-RTPwc].ActiveControl

Me.txt1 = Forms![Frm-RTPwc].ActiveControl

to
Me.txt1 = mid(Forms![Frm-RTPwc].ActiveControl, 4) 'read from the 4th character

or something of that fashion.
