Opening Application using a Shortcut

I created a shortcut to my access application. Under shortcut properties I selected Run: Minimized.
When I click on the shortcut the access client opens in the background with my application in the foreground. I close the application and click on the shortcut again to restart and the application opens without the access client in the background.
This alternates continuously.
How can I ensure that the access client does not open in the background?

dont run minimized, run normal.

I think I solve the issue...I did not close access when I closed the application.
Problem solved.
