Option Box Problem

Duane's db is way more complicated then you need but it demonstrates using Continuous forms as SubForms to display your questions AND answers and how to put the questions and answers in FIELDS in a table rather than hard code them somewhere else in the table. Are you open to modifying your db with these techniques?

Hi Guys,

Well Duane's database didn't help me much but I've solved it. I would like to say that I did it all on my own but alas I cannot take the credit for it. Zigzag came to my rescue and after another fresh pair of eyes came up with a relatively simple solution.

Rather than change anything, he suggested that I change the default value in the table to something extreme like 500 and then he suggested the following code:-

Private Sub Form_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer)
If [Text239] > 500 Then
MsgBox "Please answer all of the questions", vbOKOnly, "Question not answered"
End If
End Sub

Thank you all very very much for getting me unstuck yet again - I really couldn't function without people as experienced as you lot - you're great!.
