I have a form, has lots of fields on it. Nothing new here... Here is the tricky part, there is a few fields are being filled by a query that is not embedded into the form. There is a query embedded into the form, but it does not contain the required fields. When the form comes up the field displays "#Name?"

When I look at the query in question, I can see one record (the one I want) and the populated data. Problem is the data is not being displayed on the form.

This is the control source for the field: =[OrderEntryQuery2]![Description]

Here is the data from the query at the time the form is open:
Copiers.ID Copier Description Assembly.......
52669 48975 MFC-9340CDW BROTHER PRINTER - Copy Block 30,000 or Dec May 2016 100011634......

Any ideas why OrderEntryQuery2.Description is not displayed correctly??

if OrderEntryQuery2 is not bound to the form , it wont work.

to lookup items in other queries, you must use
=DLOOKUP("[field]","OrderEntryQuery2","where clause here")

if it IS part of the form, you don't need the =, nor the queryname.

You are a life saver!!! That worked perfectly!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
