I have a form with a sub-form attached. The sub-form allows for the editing of existing records or the addition of a new record. I present the sub-form sorted in descending order so that the most recent record is at the top. However the line for the addition of a new record always appear as the end of the list. Is there any way to have this new record line at the top followed by existing records in descending order as generally, the form will be used to add a new record?

Hi. Not inherently in Access forms. What others have done is add either a data-entry subform, showing only one line at the top of the existing subform, or simply add unbound textboxes at the top for entering new data and using code to add the entry to the table.

Hi there
2 Cents always welcome..... gives me a couple of avenues to explore. Thanks for your help
