Ordering numbers stored as text

Hello,

I seem to have forgotten how to do this...

I have a text field thats stores numeric data as text (for example 10, 10B, 100, 100H).

I would like to order this data in numeric style, ie:
1
2a
3
3a
3b
4
5

How might I achieve this? Currently is sorting the data as 1, 11, 111, 2, 22, 222 etc...

To deejay_totoro:
Have a go at this test sample, the query converts the text numbers
to a numeric value, then sorts the values in ascending order.
Hint: In the Query Grid always place the calculated field in front of text
number field and sort both fields.
Anyway the example is in Access 2000 Format and attached below.
