:banghead: I am working with a simple table but due to my own llimitations, cannot figure our the quickest way to resolve this: It's an employee list with some reporting levels extending out to 8 levels up to the CEO. If all employees had the exact same number of reporting levels, piece of cake! But alas, they don't. Some have 3, some 4 some 8, etc. There's an requirement that all employees must meet and I have to report on our progress but the data must be divisible by the reporting levels: Supervisor1, Supervisor2, etc. up to Supervisor8 (CEO) so that I can see whose team is succeeding or failing. What's the best way to do this via query (I suck at VBA)?

I've attached dummy data which illustrates what I'm working with.

Thanks

You need to normalise your Employee table so main fields would be
EmployeeID
EmpFN
EmpSN
ReportsTo

where ReportsTo would contain the EmployeeID of the supervisor.

As to showing workgroups under a particular supervisor, I can't see a query giving this. I would be looking to a recursive procedure in VBA.
