Has anyone else had problems with the Page Setup values for a report changing back to the defaults from time to time? I have several databases I have designed using Access 95 & 2000 and I am constantly having problems with the Page Setup values changing. For ex., I have a report that should print Landscape & with all margins set to .5". When I designed the report, I changed to these settings and saved the report. The report will work fine for a while and then all the sudden when you go to print it, it switches back to its defaults of Portrait w/ 1" margins.

The databases live on our company network and are used by several users. I have the securities set so that no one should be able to change the design of any of the reports, or any other object in the DB, so I am thoroughly confused why the reports are changing.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? This is a relativity small problem, but most of my users don't verify the report is formatted properly before they print it and end up printing it wrong. Frankly, I don't think this is something they should have to check... the reports SHOULD consistently format properly without user intervention.

Can anyone help remove this thorn from my side?!?!

Thanks!

This is a common problem and seems to be a bug in Access (still not fixed in A2K). I have been able to get the page setup to remain consistent by opening the report in Print Preview, making the changes and then saving the report while still in Print Preview. If you make any changes later in Design mode, the problem can reappear so you have to follow the above process once again.

That's a pretty major bug to have in a database program! I should think Microsoft would want to try to fix that.

Thanks for your advice Axis. I'll give it a try.
