parameter queries drop down list

I currently have a parameter query which prompts the user when opening my form. Is it possible to create a drop down list (list box/combo box) for this prompt??

You could have the form write a sql string and set the main forms record source to that.

No I have not done this due to the complex nature of the previous response. I need to be able to create a drop down list for my parameter query. My query powers a form so obviously when I look at the datasheet view of the form it prompts me to enter in a value. is it possible to create the drop down list for this so users have a list choice of what to type when they switch to datasheet view?
