Passing a password from one database to another

Hi. I have searched the forum for answers, but have not yet come across anything that is similar to what I am trying to do. I have a database that serves as a switchboard to open several disparate, but related databases. One of the databases is password protected (at the database level -- the standard password that you can set up through Access). Is there a way, through code behind my switchboard button, to pass the password from the switchboard database to the protected database? Thanks!
