Greetings and Happy New Year,
I hope you enjoyed, or are still enjoying, your holiday time.
I have normalized the tables as per mike60smart’s diagram, http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2024487; the visa table was missed in that, but it is done in mine (see illustration).
I have also restructured the data for the dummy database to match (see attached).
The next step is tackling the forms and reports.I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, but tweak the design.
How do I reconfigure them to work with the new table structure?
If I could get some guidance on FRM_NewInstructorEntry; FRM_InstructorInformationLookup; and RPT_School-Instructor, I would appreciate it.
I’ve been looking at the 2000 sample version of Northwind, but I still don’t see how the IDs are passed or the associated with the actual data within forms, i.e. the relationship between the master and detail tables [Access 2010 All-in-One for Dummies].
Thank you once more,
M. McAllister
