Hi,
I have a database in Access 97, however i forgot the password to open it. Please suggest me how do i get back the password.

I doubt if anyone will as unless cannot prove legal ownership of the database. How do we know if you have not ripped it off from somewhere/someone?

There are solutions out there, the question is how did you loose the password in the first place. As the owner you should always be aware of the passwords.

David

Thanks for prompt reply,
I totally understand, and the reason is i am like the expert in the team, earlier all my colleque use to work in excel. Then i thought them how to work in access. Its like we have total of 15 different database, so i missed out one.

Which actual password have you lost?

Front End
Back End
Code Protection
Security

Is it a password that has been created as a user defined login screen?

No, its the Security one. The password which ask when we open the database.

Yes but has the password been set on the front end or the back end or is it one mdb that contains both the tables, queries, forms, etc? (Unsplit database).

Yes, it is an unsplit database. But i'm not getting what is front end/back end, it is like as soon as i created a database i went to Tools - > Security - > Set database password.

Do a search on Front end / End back for more details.

I know this thread is way old but i have a similar situation but mine is in .accdb not .mdb.

Regards
