Is there any code available that will combine PDFs without the need for Adobe? Say, PDFCreator or something similar? I have PDFCreator installed and can use the code in VBA but have, so far, been unable to successfully figure out any good way to combine one pdf file to another.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

Interestingly, this is exactally the thing I came here looking for today... I, too, will be monitoring this question for a response!

Well, sadly I can't share my code for merging because it does use Acrobat.

But, what I might suggest is testing with PDF995 which has the ability to merge if you install the right piece. You might be able to programmatically access it, I don't know. But you could try and if successful you could be a very popular person around here :D

Stephen Leban's PDF DLLs and his associated example code allow for the combining of distinct PDF files.
I did find a small bug but, dagnammit, didn't get around to showing it to him before he went and retired (he asked me to send it too - so it really is all on me and my cursed workload at the time... Noooooo!!)

The functionality in general is very good though. I would wager I had simply found an obscurely coded PDF to cause the problem. You should be fine.

Cheers.
