I want to display my query results in a pivot table, showing subtotals for various category fields. In the pivot table view, I've selected the field header of interest, which enables the "subtotal" button. I click the button and it adds the "Total" lines where expected, but the actual subtotals do not display. They are just blank. I'm certain my data fields are numeric because they are calculated from other numeric fields in the query.

Any ideas?

Hi, I've come across the same issue, my pivot table is showing blank cells for subtotals and grand total. I know you posted your question a while ago now, but did you ever get them working properly?

Thanks,
Wayne

Sorry, no. I ended up creating a form with a table object to display the data and a text box object to display the total, which I calculated with DSum().

Hi, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'll give your method a go and try to work it out.
It seems strange that Access gives us the option of "totals" in pivot tables but then won't show any results. I still wonder if there is something we are missing here, when I was Googling for a solution yesterday I came across some screen shots that did appear to show values in the totals, but no matter what I try so far I can't work out how they got them to show.

Regards,
Wayne
