Howdy. A lot depends on what you have. Is this Pivot Table going to change in size? Will the data involves data changes?
Bill Jelen (MrExcel) and Tracy Syrstad show how to go from your data to a temporary pivot table, to a formatted output table using VBA. They include a detailed VBA code example in chapter 12 of their book, VBA and Macros for Microsoft Excel. I have used modifications of it several times and it works much better (and faster and adjustable for any new data) than trying to make pre-formatted tables and Pivot tables work together.
