I have been asked to develop a small access db, but last time i ad something to do with access was 4 years ago. i've been asked to get it done by today.
if any of you gig’s out there could help me out of this nightmare i would be so grateful.
Every day, we will receive an ever growing spreadsheet.
I need to import this into an access database, use a lookup on the postcode to allocate zones for the work to be done, and for users of the database to be able to filter what they see so that they are only looking at the zones they are booking for.
The user will need to amend the status of each job from processed (meaning the kit has been sent) to: kit received, booking made, installation complete or "not required".
Each day the spreadsheet will grow, and it is important when the new, larger sheet is imported that it does not over-write the previous day's updates to status.
Basically
Table format is attached.
