In 1997 the boss called me into his office. He said, Tim I want you to stop building restaurants for me and become my Service Manager."
I week later I opened my first Access Database. This database came with a printout of all customers names so we could find them in the text-box that searched customer files by name. Note, no combo-box, no list, just a text-box, and you better spell that name right :banghead:
After a week or so I called Microsoft, those days you could, and bitched at the terrible design of their product. The kind lady assured me that it was not Microsoft's fault but someone called a database developer that did not quiet finish his job. Then she lead me to a help file I could download and print out and maybe I could design my own "combo-box" that would help spell the customers name as we typed to search it. Holy cow! I did not leave the office that night and at about 5:30 that morning all four computers in the office had a drop-down combo-box. I've been hooked ever since, my addiction so severe, that I must admit to giving up many nights of sex in lieu of creating a new form or report.
Needless to say my database is 15 years and growing. It runs my small maintenance/Remodeling business.

Welcome, but you don't need us, you need AA (Access Anonymous)! :p

Lol thanks for the advice and the hearty welcome. I knew you guys were going to be so helpful. Just to be sure, i have no intentions of giving up my addiction.

I'm addicted too, but you're willing to give up more for it than I am... ;)
