Populating table

I inherited an existing db, I have an excel file with current details that I have imported to an access table.

I want to populate the records with the expiry dates of the imported table, the tricky bit is comparing then adding the info.

What is the best way to achieve this, do I have to merge them into a temporary or virtual table?

The simple bit is comparing and adding the information, the tricky bit is trying to figure out how to do that with zero information to go on.
