I need to know how to be able to make my database accept only postcode format entries like RT24 6QP (english). Like a validation , it would only accept that format. How would i go about doing that.
Please explain to be in easy to understand contex as im no expert with access.

Thanks

not easy enough. You see, its for an exam im doing (its not cheating, during breaks i am alowed to do some research)
The exact question is
Post code enteries are consistent - 2 letters, 2 numbers, space, 1 number , 2 letters e.g RT34 4FD.
And as it is only a gcse exam i shouldnt be as complicating as that thread you just linked to. Thanks anyway

The exact question is . . . . . . .
Lets get this straight -
1) you know what the question is -

2) then you get a break for "research" -

3) so you look up the answer and

4) go back and get top marks?

Its no wonder kids these days never fail their exams:rolleyes:

Post Code

Try AA00\ 0AA 'note the space' - I had same problem and was told postcodes are difficult because they are not all this format but it suited me because I only wanted the Post Code around my area which was nearly allways this format.
