Access on my computer has suddenly decided to crash whenever any db needs to go to a print preview or print action. If i select a different printer, ie deskjet it is fine. I have tried installing different printers and it only seems to crash with postscript printers - early laserjets or inkjets are OK. No other prorams are affected. I have reinstalled Office and all printer drivers. AAAAArggg Any ideas?

Postscript print problems - ideas

Some suggestions:
See whether new printer drivers exist
Use different drivers (sometimes the MS ones work best, sometimes the vendor supplied ones)
Use a different language driver: Some printers will accept PCL and Postscript so consider the PCL ones
Post more about the Access and driver versions in use and it may prompt some further clues.
See whether there is a service pack for the version of Access in use
Is the problem across all databases? All postscript printers? Specific to any version of Operating System?

Thanks for the ideas MrTibbs. I tried most of your suggestions. It was a problem for all databases opened from my station and with all postscript printer drivers for any make of printer. I reinstalled office, i reinstalled windows but to no avail. as i needed to work urgently from my workstation i had to format the hard disk and start again!!!

Language setting crashes Access

This is a reply to my own post of last year as the same thing happened again. I had installed a number of different language apps as we are an Internation school. I had added the Hebrew keyboard in SetLanguages which is NOT supported in Win98. For some bizzare reason this crashed any access db using a postscript printer. Hope this might help someone on the future.
