Prevent Editing

How can I prevent editing text box.
I mean not allow user to edit the text box but the text box is enabled and visible at the same time.

Set the Data properties tab of the text box to the following settings:

enabled = yes
locked = yes

This will allow it to be selected, copied, and scrolled, but not editted.

If you set locked to no, then it will not be selectable and will act basically like a label.
