Prevent Focus

I have a subform which displays attendance within a form. The subform has two fields (both text boxes) Date - Time. Both boxes are set to not allow updates, as it is for viewing purposes only.

Is there a way I can prevent either of these two fields from even getting focus?

in the textbox properties se the following
Enabled = No
Locked = Yes

I tried using it with enabled set to "no". However, that also greys out the value....how can I have the value not greyed out with enabled set to "no"?

Thanks, I had missed the locked = yes, which I had thought I already had set.
