Evan,

That can easily be fixed by adding the totals to the Unit group footer. If you really do not need report totals then try moving the totals from the report footer tot eh unit group footer. If you need both You probably can copy the controls in the report footer to the Unit group footer

Dear Boyd

I am sorry to trouble you again but I have another question.
Management has asked if it is possible to show values in the report footer.
I would need to show the subtotal of each unit code in a text box and show it with certain ammounts deducted.

Lets say when report is run I need to show unitcode il001 subtotal - £100.00 in a text box to which I can add a label then il002 etc. showing nill value if unit code is not in report.

Have searched the web but to no avail not sure what question to ask.

Regards

Evan

Evan,

The way I handle this is with a separate report placed in the Report's footer as a sub report.

Dear Boyd.
That could take some working out. I have never used sub reports but will have a go. Any suggestions on where to look.

Evan

PS Have a good weekend.

Usually a sub report is linked to a record in the parent report. But it does not have to work that way. I will create reports to get summarized data. Basically just totals. I will then add the reports to parent report for printing them all together. Usually on a single page.
