I am running A2007. How can I get the pdf extension to be able to print a popup report? As far as I can see, it can only print a report if it is a tab.

try pressing ctrl-P when the report is on the screen.

Curious, why are you setting a report to pop-up?

Control P brings up the print dialog box, but the pdf extention is not one of the options. To print to pdf, I have to click an icon in the ribbon. But the extension only prints things that are tabs. Im trying to get the extension to get focus on something that is a popup.

Two reasons, I like the look, and I hide access, so everything is a popup. If you want to see how it looks, I did post a video of my db on youtube. Ive got a thread here called See my DB with a link.

Part of the problem seems to be that I still had access in tabbed window mode. I changed that, and the pdf extension can now print the popup report.

However, like I said earlier, the Access ribbon is hidden, so the button for the extension is also hidden. Does anyone have a good work around, besides putting a button on every report? Is there a way to get the pdf extension in my list of printers so that I could do it through ctrl+p?

I may have just figured something else out. If I use shift bypass, then open the report, if I right click on the report, there is an option to export. In these options is the pdf extension. How can I make this available to the end user?

edit-I am using a different extension now. I switched to CutePDF. It installs itself like a printer, so that it is an option in my list of printers. I like this one more, because it does not show the actual name of the form/report like my other one does. Also, when you print to pdf, this one does not open the pdf file after it is printed, which I like.
